Atrium is seeking on behalf of our client a Credit and Collections Manager based in New York, NY.A background check may be run only after a conditional offer is made, where permitted by law.Position: Credit and Collections ManagerLocation: New York, NYEmployment Type: Full-timeCompensation: $80,000-$100,000Position OverviewThe Credit and Collections Manager will oversee a high-volume commercial credit portfolio in a dynamic wholesale environment. This role is responsible for evaluating creditworthiness, managing credit risk, and ensuring timely collections while maintaining strong client relationships. The position requires collaboration with internal teams to support credit applications, adjustments, and financial reviews. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.ResponsibilitiesManage a high-volume commercial credit portfolio in a fast-paced, seasonal wholesale environment, ensuring compliance with company policies.Independently evaluate creditworthiness and approve credit limits for high-volume accounts to mitigate financial risk.Make autonomous credit decisions, demonstrating sound judgment and accountability.Oversee credit and collections activities, including credit review, exposure management, and ongoing monitoring.Handle collections on accounts aged 90+ days, implementing effective recovery strategies when necessary.Review financial statements, bank documentation, and credit applications to assess risk.Collaborate with internal partners to support credit applications, adjustments, and account resolutions.Manage accounts ranging from small businesses to major national customers, adapting strategies as needed.Navigate bankruptcy-related documentation and credit risk scenarios when applicable.Required Experience/SkillsProven experience in credit and collections management within a high-volume environment.Strong ability to make independent credit decisions with minimal oversight.Experience working with diverse account sizes, including large national customers.Proficiency in reviewing financial statements and credit documentation.Excellent communication and negotiation skills for managing collections and client relationships.Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting.Preferred Experience/SkillsFamiliarity with wholesale or seasonal business cycles.Experience handling bankruptcy-related credit risk scenarios.Knowledge of credit risk assessment tools and financial analysis techniques.Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Advanced proficiency in credit management systems and ERP platforms.BenefitsIf eligible under the ACA, medical, dental and vision benefits and time off in accordance with local paid sick time laws will be offered.
