LIMS Implementation Program Manager

Title - LIMS Program ManagerLocation: Hillsboro, OregonWork Arrangement: HybridExperience: 10+ YearsContract Duration: September 14, 2026 – October 31, 2029Hours: Approximately 26 hours per weekInterview: Microsoft Teams – Pacific TimePosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Program Manager to support the implementation of a new Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).The Program Manager will support the Senior Project Manager and focus on organizational change management, internal and external communications, team coordination, maintaining the decision log, and coordinating vendor feedback.The ideal candidate will have strong project management experience, excellent communication skills, and experience working in a laboratory or clinical care environment.ResponsibilitiesManage multiple complex and detailed project schedules.Maintain project timelines, milestones, and critical paths.Monitor and control projects to ensure timely completion.Identify, monitor, and escalate key risks and issues impacting projects.Collaborate with management and advocate for appropriate resource allocation.Respond to requests for information from vendors and project team members.Support applications for funding opportunities related to project activities.Coordinate with technical teams and provide project management support.Support organizational change management and User Acceptance activities.Coordinate and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts for the LIMS Replacement Project.Manage other IT project management activities as assigned.Prepare biweekly project status reports documenting project activities, progress, risks, and deliverables.Prepare resource capacity reports to identify over-allocated and under-utilized resources.Prepare ad hoc reports to support management decision-making.Support project planning and scheduling activities.Update project plans with new LIMS subprojects based on input from laboratory management.Assist with project deliverables and related subprojects.Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.Required Skills and Experience10+ years of project/program management experience.Prior state government experience.Strong Project Management experience.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.Ability to work effectively in a remote/hybrid environment.PMP certification is required.Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills.Experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.Preferred Skills and ExperienceOrganizational Change Management experience in a laboratory or clinical care environment.Project Management experience in a laboratory or clinical care environment.Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) is preferred.Knowledge and experience with PMI/PMBOK methodologies.Experience coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT).Experience working with vendors and cross-functional teams.Work ArrangementThis position is approved for hybrid work.Onsite onboarding will be required during the first week.The selected candidate may be permitted to work remotely/telecommute as agreed upon with management.The candidate should be available to work onsite within a reasonable timeframe if required.Remote work requires the candidate to provide their own computer, monitor(s), reliable high-speed internet, telephone, webcam, and microphone.Access to systems will be provided through VPN or similar technology.No hardware or additional software will be provided for the candidate's home office.All remote work must be performed within the United States.The candidate must be available during standard business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Pacific Time, excluding holidays and business closures.Additional InformationInterviews will be conducted via Microsoft Teams.Interview times will be scheduled in Pacific Time.Background check completion may take two weeks or longer.No travel/expenses are allowed.
