We are continually building our team with qualified, team oriented individuals to improve the success of our company.ResponsibilitiesAttain sales goals established by the Company within the designated territory and budgetGrow sales of current accounts and establish new accountsPresent, educate, and provide in-services on the process/procedure of accurately using the Company's products to surgeons, operating room staff, and other individualsProvide on-site technical support during procedures to ensure accurate use of the productsTrain and educate physicians and hospital staff on the use of the productsEnsure surgeons and staff have the most current product information availableMaintain detailed knowledge and capabilities of the Company's products, channels, and methods of distributionDevelop new prospects and establish customersAdvise customers on new and current products, backorders, general order status, current pricing structure, company policy changes, and forecasts for new needsAchieve prompt, mutually satisfactory solutions to customers' complaintsAttend customers' meetings and tradeshows, providing detailed post-convention reportsEstablish BD products as the standard for bid accounts through surgeon specifications RequirementsBachelor's Degree required.Minimum of 3 years of general sales experience, with medical sales experience preferredStrong interpersonal, oral, communication, organizational, and planning skillsDetailed understanding of the needs/analysis approach to salesUnderstanding of the product buyer concept, contract administration, and principles of group purchasingMust possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license and meet BD's auto safety standards.Ability to meet and maintain customer/medical facility access requirements, including regular or periodic drug screenings with satisfactory resultsAbility to travel at least 60%, including overnight travel Preferred QualificationsProcedure knowledge adequate to illustrate convincingly the benefits of the Company's productsBasic anatomy knowledgeAbility to discuss the various products in relation to the human bodyFamiliarity with medical and surgical terminologyAt BD, we prioritize on-site collaboration because we believe it fosters creativity, innovation, and effective problem-solving, which are essential in the fast-paced healthcare industry.
