It borders Grand Forks, ND and is very close to the University of North Dakota and Northland Community and Technical College. The district's K-12 enrollment is approximately 1900 students as well as a thriving preschool program. The district has four separate school buildings housing grades PreK-2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12. Our MISSION is that East Grand Forks Public Schools will engage and empower learners to contribute and succeed in a diverse and changing world.Position Summary: The substitute custodian performs general cleaning, custodial assistance to students, teachers, visitors and others as necessary. May assist with special events and programs. Performs other related tasks as assigned by supervisorRequired Skills and Qualifications:Ability to operate basic maintenance tools and equipment safelyAbility to work independently and as part of a team. Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English in order to understand safety instructions, respond to work orders and interact with staff. Physical Requirements:Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects as needed (up to 100 lbs). Ability to work off of lifts and ladders of various heights when necessary. Ability to work in various weather conditions (for outdoor maintenance tasks). Additional Notes:Applicants must pass a background check and a driver's license will be required.
