Maintenance DirectorType: Full-TimeShift: Day shift, as needed for emergenciesWage: $29-31/hr DOELocation: Avamere at Sherwood - 16500 Century Drive, Sherwood, OR 97140Apply now at: Arete.JobsResponsibilitiesPlan and carry out program in repair, new construction and equipment installationTrain and monitor maintenance staff, and oversee services performed by outside vendors/contractorsCoordinate maintenance services with other departments and establish a preventative maintenance programPlan, prepare and operate under the Maintenance budget, order and inventory supplies and equipmentParticipate in community surveys by authorized government agencies and develop a plan of correction for any maintenance deficienciesMaintain confidentiality of all resident care in accordance with HIPAA guidelinesCreate and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, patience, enthusiasm, calm, and joyComplete ongoing training as assignedComplete other duties as assignedQualificationsHigh-School diploma or equivalent Must be at least 18 years of age 3+ years of experience with maintenance of a building such as an assisted living community, nursing home, apartment complex, or a business facilityKnowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systemsKnowledge in building codes, safety regulations, and reading of blueprintsAbility to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business communityBenefitsWe believe caring for others starts with caring for our own teams.
