They operate in the high-risk space, processing $15BN yearly (30% YOY growth).The company is investing heavily in continuing to build a modern payments infrastructure designed to create a more seamless experience for merchants and partners.They're now hiring a senior Risk & Underwriting executive to lead the full risk organization across underwriting, chargebacks, compliance, and risk operations. This person will play a critical role in shaping how the embedded payments business scales, partnering closely with executive leadership, banking partners, and commercial teams.Key Responsibilities• Lead underwriting and risk decisions across the merchant portfolio, balancing growth with portfolio performance.• Build and improve scalable risk frameworks using data, automation, and operational insight.• Oversee chargebacks, compliance, and banking partner relationships across the payments business.• Partner closely with go-to-market teams to support expansion into new and emerging merchant verticals.Requirements• 15+ years of experience in payments risk, underwriting, fraud, or compliance leadership.• Background within PayFac, embedded payments, or vertical SaaS payment environments.• Proven experience managing merchant portfolio risk, including higher-risk segments.• Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience leading cross-functional risk teams.Interested in applying?
