Position: Payroll Specialist Location: Livermore, CA Duration: Temporary (ongoing) Pay Range: $29-$40/hourWe are currently seeking a Payroll Specialist to support a client in Livermore. This role will focus on ensuring accurate payroll processing, maintaining compliance, and supporting system-related activities and reporting. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with timekeeping systems and payroll platforms, along with strong analytical skills.What You'll Be Responsible For:Process payroll for both hourly and salaried employees, including diverse workforce groupsValidate payroll inputs such as timecards, pay rate changes, deductions, and earnings codesAssist with regular payroll cycles, as well as off-cycle runs and manual paymentsSupport calculations related to overtime, shift premiums, and specialized pay structuresEnsure payroll practices comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulationsApply union agreements and pay rules accurately with team guidance as neededParticipate in payroll audits, reconciliations, and issue resolutionMaintain accurate payroll records and supporting documentationWork within payroll and timekeeping systems (such as SAP SuccessFactors and UKG/Kronos) to manage data and processesHelp reconcile and validate information between payroll and time tracking systemsGenerate routine payroll reports, identify inconsistencies, and escalate concerns when necessaryUse Excel for data analysis, including lookups, validations, and basic reconciliationsCollaborate with HR and Finance teams to address payroll-related questions and discrepanciesProvide responsive support to employees regarding payroll inquiriesContribute to system testing, process improvements, and workflow enhancementsAssist with additional HR initiatives or special projects as neededWhat We're Looking For:Experience processing payroll in a multi-employee environmentFamiliarity with UKG/Kronos or similar time and attendance systems (required)Exposure to SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll is a plusStrong Excel skills for reporting and reconciliation workSolid understanding of payroll compliance and best practicesHigh level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detailAbility to manage deadlines and adapt in a dynamic setting All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
