This role leads training sessions of the credit unions Core classes, lending training and training for other business units. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:None required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Conducts classroom and virtual training to include teller training and other retail operations training to include projects in support of retail operations and other areas of the credit union.Coordinate and conduct training classes for internal corporate training.Maintains the Mentorship Program, including tracking participant progress, managing the incentive budget and payouts, conducting certification classes, and updating and maintaining all related training materials.Responsible for updates and maintains training materials for training classes as policies, procedures, products, and regulations change.Provides updates regarding new & existing team members' progress to training management and team members management as necessary. Possesses comprehensive and detailed knowledge and understanding of operating systems, organizational culture, products, services, and procedures to train staff team members at all levels. Participates in training videos to include but not limited voiceovers, and acting, etc.Represents Keesler Federal as the “subject matter expert” in areas of training expertise and provides support and response to inquiries for team members.Attends train-the-trainer sessions to become proficient in training areas outside of current expertise.Operates training equipment, including computer, television, Solstice screens, video camera, projector, calculator, etc.Demonstrates superior member service skills and acts as a positive role model for all team members.Responsible for compliance with all Federal regulations including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).Other Duties and Responsibilities: Other duties as assigned.Knowledge & Skills:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Effective oral communication and writing/grammar skills are necessary. Knowledge of adult teaching techniques preferred.Must possess working knowledge of credit union regulations, policies and procedures.Must have a foundational understanding of handling monetary instruments, including cash, checks, bonds, cashier’s checks, and certified funds, with the ability to accurately follow standard procedures.Must be comfortable and effective with presenting in front of a large group of employees at all levels.Must be available to travel to branches and other departments as needed for training to include overnight and extended stays. (25% - 35%). Interpersonal Skills:A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating, influencing or training others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others. Computer Skills:Proficient in Microsoft applications.Experience with JHA financial institution software a plus.
