Controls Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a talented HVAC Controls Technician to join our team in Arizona. This full-time position involves installing, programming, maintaining, and troubleshooting building automation systems (BAS) and HVAC controls in commercial and industrial facilities. You will play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and performance of HVAC control systems.Key Responsibilities Install and configure HVAC controls, including sensors, actuators, thermostats, and building automation systems. Program and troubleshoot HVAC systems to ensure proper operation and optimal performance. Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on HVAC control systems. Identify and resolve system issues, minimizing downtime for clients. Interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints for system installations and repairs. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to deliver high-quality solutions. Document work performed, including service reports, programming changes, and recommendations for system improvements. Adhere to safety guidelines and industry standards while conducting fieldwork. Programming BAS/Controls systemsRequired Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or technical certification in HVAC, electronics, or related field preferred. 2+ years of experience as an HVAC Technician, or similar position, i.e. electrician Proven experience with HVAC controls and building automation systems (e.g., Johnson Controls, Verasys, Metasys, Honeywell, Alerton, LCBS). Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical circuits, and control components. Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in HVAC control systems. Effective communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and travel to local job sites.Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with BACnet, Modbus, or other HVAC communication protocols. Experience with energy management systems and optimization. Industry certifications such as EPA 608, NATE, or equivalent.Compensation And Benefits Hourly Rate: Up to $45/hour, based on experience and qualifications.
