Backed by Brighton Jones’ wealth management experience, we deliver expert investment guidance and personalized support that automated solutions can’t match.We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Managing Director (MD) of Growth - Company Retirement Plans (for our OpenPlan/Retirement Plan Advisory team), who will lead the next phase of expansion for our Retirement Plan Advisory (RPA) business. This individual will be a player coach, responsible for driving net new client acquisition, deepening strategic partnerships, and building scalable growth teams / engines that position the firm as a market leader in retirement plan advisory services. This is a leadership role for a growth-minded person who thrives at the intersection of strategy, business development, and execution. The MD will partner closely with Managing Director of Practice Management, the General Manager and other leadership to drive revenue, optimize operations, and position OpenPlan as a category‑leading offering.Take our Values in Action Self-Assessment to see how our values align!What you'll do:Key Responsibilities:Growth Strategy & ExecutionDevelop and execute a comprehensive growth strategy for the Retirement Plan Advisory businessIdentify target markets, client segments, and priority growth channelsEstablish measurable goals and KPIs aligned with firm-wide growth objectivesContinuously refine go-to-market strategies based on performance insights and market trendsBusiness DevelopmentLead direct business development efforts, including sourcing and closing new retirement plan clientsCultivate relationships with key centers of influence (e.g., CPAs, attorneys, recordkeepers, consultants)Partner with senior advisors to drive pipeline development and win ratesRepresent the firm in industry events, conferences, and thought leadership forumsTeam Leadership & CollaborationBuild, mentor, and lead a high-performing growth and business development teamCollaborate closely with marketing, advisory and client service teams to cross functional alignmentFoster a culture of accountability, innovation, and client-centricityMarketing & Brand PositioningPartner with marketing to develop targeted campaigns and content strategiesStrengthen the firm’s brand presence in the retirement plan advisory spaceLeverage digital and data-driven marketing approaches to accelerate growthData & Performance ManagementImplement and oversee CRM and pipeline management best practicesAnalyze growth metrics and sales performance to inform decision-makingReport regularly to executive leadership on progress, opportunities, and challengesTravelTravel up to 25% may be requiredYour Experience:7+ years of experience in business development, growth strategy, or leadership roles within retirement plan advisory, institutional consulting, or related services to our target clientsProven track record of driving significant revenue growth and closing businessDeep understanding of B2B salesPreferred expertise in retirement plan landscape (e.g., 401(k), fiduciary advisory, plan design, vendor ecosystem)Strong leadership and team-building capabilitiesExceptional communication, relationship-building, and influencing skillsStrategic thinker with a hands-on, execution-oriented mindsetBachelor’s degree required; MBA, JD or other Graduate Degree preferredThis role is an in-office, full-time, and exempt position.
