OverviewNikkiso Cryogenic Services is seeking a highly skilled Regional Field Service Engineer to deliver world-class technical support for advanced cryogenic equipment and systems. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role for a technically driven professional who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys solving complex engineering challenges, and wants to work at the forefront of cryogenic technology.In this role, you will serve as a trusted technical expert for customers across your assigned region, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and safety of cryogenic systems while strengthening Nikkiso’s reputation for excellence in service and innovation.Salary range: $83,381 - $155,579ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership & Customer SupportProvide expert onsite technical support for installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of cryogenic systems and equipment.Serve as a technical advisor to customers, ensuring optimal system performance and adherence to OEM and industry standards.Troubleshooting & Problem ResolutionDiagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and control system issues using advanced troubleshooting methods.Minimize system downtime through efficient root cause analysis and corrective actions.Maintenance & RepairsPerform preventive and corrective maintenance, including inspections, calibration, and component replacement.Respond promptly to customer service requests and execute onsite repairs with precision and professionalism.Training & Knowledge TransferDeliver technical training to customers on safe operation and maintenance of cryogenic equipment.Promote best practices and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.Documentation & ReportingPrepare detailed field service reports, maintain accurate service records, and document equipment history.Communicate findings, recommendations, and improvement opportunities to internal teams and customers.Safety & Continuous ImprovementUphold Nikkiso’s safety standards and promote a strong safety culture in the field.Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, applying new knowledge to enhance service delivery.Core CompetenciesCryogenic Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of cryogenic systems, fluids, and equipment.Advanced Problem Solving: Strong diagnostic and analytical skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues independently.Safety Leadership: Commitment to safety protocols, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation.Communication Excellence: Ability to translate complex technical concepts for customers and internal stakeholders.Adaptability & Resilience: Comfortable working in dynamic, high-pressure field environments.Organizational Excellence: Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and service demands.Customer Focus: Strong relationship-building skills and a commitment to exceptional service.Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and service teams.Continuous Learning: Commitment to ongoing technical development and professional growth.QualificationsRequired Experience3–5 years of experience working with cryogenic systems or closely related technologies (e.g., rotating equipment, LNG, industrial gases, vacuum systems, or process equipment).Proven experience in installation, maintenance, and repair of complex technical systems.Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control systems.Experience planning and executing field service activities and preventive maintenance programs.Preferred BackgroundTechnical degree or equivalent experience in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering discipline.Experience in industrial, energy, marine, aerospace, or gas processing environments.Salary range: $83,381 - $155,579Salary RangeUSD $70,843.00 - USD $125,370.00 /Yr.
