Embedded Software Test Engineer

OverviewThe Embedded Software Test Engineer will be supporting the next generation of aerospace power distribution electronics. They will be responsible for developing unit tests for Embedded C for PIC Microcontrollers and Arm Cortex. It is required that this person has experience with DO-178 as they will be using this safety standard for all Test Verification. Half of their time will be spent with documentation and the other will be around hands on test development and execution. This person is also expected to have strong communication skills and should be coming from an aerospace background.Core Responsibilities include:High-level and low-level test case and procedure development per DO-178.Independent review of design, test cases, and test procedures.Review and integration of third-party verification and validation (V&V) vendor tests.Issue creation with problem reporting tools.Utilization of Vectorcast.Pipeline automation for CI/CD.Reports to satisfy V&V documentation requirements.Required QualificationsBachelors Degree in a relevant field of study.3-5 years of experience with embedded software test engineering.Experience with DO-178.Experience with V&V documentation.Experience with Vectorcast technology.Preferred QualificationsExperience with GitLabExperience with CodebeamerCompensation$105,000 to $145,000. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors including skills, experience, education, and location of residence.
