The candidate should display detailed knowledge of electrical power systems, electrical control/distribution systems, instrumentation, and data acquisition. Strong teamwork and communication skills are required. This position is intimately involved with the project from inception through installation at the customer’s site.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS not limited to:Review specific test procedures for the components on the equipment capability list to understand test requirementsDesign a complete electrical system to support hydraulic circuitsSupport of design, documentation, assembly, integration, test and field support of industrial controls/systemsCreate electrical schematics, operator panel and sub-panel layoutsSelect electrical control devices and develop the Bill of Material (BOM)Select instrumentation, such as pressure transducers, temperature sensors, flowmeters etc.Select motors for use with DOL starters, soft starters and VFDsCreate functional test requirements for equipment checkoutDevelop and implement PLC hardware/software system to collect data specified by test proceduresCommunicate with engineering team and customer to resolve design or testing issuesOccasional travel to the customer’s site to supervise installation and/or startup of the equipmentQUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:Intensity, clear focus and a strong desire to succeedExceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skillsStrong foundation in PC skills; Microsoft Office Suite, MRP/ERP systems, CAD experienceU.S. Persons only due to ITAR restrictions.REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:BS degree in Engineering. BSEE preferred.Experience with PC’s, Data Acquisition hardware & PLCs (Siemens TIA Portal preferred)Experience with industrial control/systems and instrumentationExperience reading/creating engineering drawings and schematics using CAD applicationsKnowledge of NEC electrical codes & wiring standards for industrial equipmentFamiliarity with NFPA Hazardous Area Classifications, CE and ATEX requirements, a plus
