Technical Sales & Applications

Primary duties to include, but not limited to: Provide information and technical support to existing IVEK customers and prospects, and find and develop new customers. Secure orders for IVEK through: Telephone / Video conferencing / Email communication On-site visits / Customer presentations Trade show attendance Testing fluids with IVEK equipment, reporting results to customers Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide information and support to existing and potential IVEK customers. Collaborate with, assist and direct the efforts of independent sales representatives and distributors, including overseas distributors. Support IVEK’s advertising and marketing programs. Document conversations with contacts and customers. Conduct follow-up calls and record general notes aimed at maintaining project details with a timely response to customer inquiries. Properly identify and secure confidential files, documents and equipment. Requires independent activity within the structure of the sales department team. Perform applications testing on fluids with IVEK equipment to ensure it meets the customers’ specifications. Detailed reports, data, photos and videos are created with each test. Task includes the logging in of new materials, testing, data entry. Experience will be gained by completing in-house training, reading, and understanding product manuals, outlining and performing applications tests, and working with other IVEK employees. Responsible for handling and storage of fluid samples, including return or disposal. Liaise/communicate with Technical Service. On-site visits and trade show attendance. (Travel 10-25%) Aid the Sales Admin Assistant as needed. Education and Experience College Degree (BS, BE) preferred or equivalent experience 2-5 years of previous technical sales experience. Must have good working knowledge of MS Office software Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Develop a detailed knowledge of IVEK metering and dispensing systems and auxiliary equipment that supports those systems. Creative thinking and innovative ideas that contribute to the well-being and growth of IVEK. Ability to understand and identify customer product requirements; current and future market trends; potential new clients and markets. Creative thinking and innovative ideas that contribute to the well-being and growth of IVEK. Background in mechanical or electrical assembly. Background in chemistry, biology, and/or fluidics is advantageous. Basic understanding of drawings and blueprints. Excellent communication skills.
