Located in Saucier, MS Steel Framing Technician2606MSPOSITION SUMMARYThe Steel Framing Technician is responsible for assembling, installing, and securing structural steel components for buildings and other structures. This role involves working with beams, columns, and metal framing systems, ensuring proper alignment, stability, and safety throughout the construction process.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAssemble and install structural steel framing, including beams, columns, and supportsRead and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specificationsAlign, level, and secure steel components using bolts, welds, or other fastenersAssist with rigging and guiding steel components into place during lifting operationsUse hand tools, power tools, and equipment safely and effectivelyPerform measurements and ensure accuracy of installationsConduct inspections of installed components for quality and safetyFollow all safety procedures and regulations on job sitesAssist with general construction tasks as neededMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or GED requiredExperience in steel framing, structural steel, or construction preferredBasic knowledge of construction tools and equipmentAbility to read and interpret construction drawingsValid driver's license preferredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESUnderstanding of structural steel installation methodsAbility to work at heights and on elevated structuresStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work effectively as part of a teamGood communication and problem-solving skillsStrong work ethic and reliable attendanceWORKING CONDITIONS & REQUIREMENTSWork at heights, including on scaffolding and steel structuresWork outdoors in varying weather conditionsExposure to noise, dust, and heavy equipmentAbility to lift, carry, and position heavy materialsAbility to stand, bend, climb, and perform physically demanding tasksExpress Office: Biloxi-Gulfport979 Tommy Munro DriveBiloxi, MS 39532
