Director of Film Distribution

Overview:We are seeking an experienced and highly connected professional to lead Worldwide Film Distribution efforts across our growing slate of feature films. This role is ideal for a strategic dealmaker with a proven track record of securing international distribution agreements, negotiating Minimum Guarantees (MGs), and building long-term partnerships across global markets.This is a performance-driven position offering significant upside through commission on distribution deals secured, along with a percentage of backend profit participation.Key Responsibilities:Lead global distribution strategy across all territories (theatrical, streaming, TV, and ancillary markets)Identify, negotiate, and close distribution deals with international buyers, sales agents, and platformsSecure Minimum Guarantees (MGs) and advance payments for individual titles and multi-project slatesBuild and maintain relationships with distributors, streamers, broadcasters, and sales agencies worldwideStructure and negotiate multi-picture deals and slate financing arrangementsCollaborate with production, finance, and marketing teams to maximize film value and positioningAnalyze market trends, buyer behavior, and territory-specific opportunities to optimize deal outcomesQualifications:Proven experience in international film distribution, sales, or acquisitionsStrong network of global buyers, distributors, and industry partnersDemonstrated ability to secure Minimum Guarantees and close high-value dealsExperience structuring multi-film or slate-level agreements is strongly preferredDeep understanding of global film markets, windows, and revenue streamsExcellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skillsSelf-driven, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independentlyCompensation Structure:Commission based on the value of distribution deals securedPercentage participation in film profits (backend)Potential for increased participation tied to multi-project or slate dealsIdeal Candidate:A well-connected industry professional who thrives on dealmakingSomeone capable of opening doors at major distribution companies and platformsA strategic thinker who can package and sell not just individual films, but entire slatesHow to Apply:Please submit your resume, deal sheet (if available), and a brief overview of your distribution experience and key relationships within the industry.Compensation: Commission-Based + Profit Participation
