Operations Manager

Role Overview Fraser's Mathematics Solutions (FMS) provide comprehensive training around high-quality mathematics teaching and learning for educators and parents, create innovative STEAM Programs for students, and supply students with "The Dope Math Product Line" of notebooks, pencils, and rulers to help them ILLUMINATE in the math classroom. We are seeking an experienced, proactive Operations Manager to oversee internal systems, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure that programs, products, and people operate efficiently and in alignment with company goals. This role plays a critical part in translating strategy into execution and supporting sustainable business growth. The Operations Manager works closely with the CEO, the Executive Assistant, and department leads to streamline operations, improve processes, and maintain accountability across the organization. This is a primarily remote role with occasional in-person responsibilities, including representing the company at events, conferences, or meetings as needed. Duties and Responsibilities Support the CEO by handling logistics, coordination, and internal follow-ups Leverage AI tools to streamline workflows, documentation, reporting, and internal processes Manage and optimize day-to-day operational workflows across departments Maintain and improve systems for communication, documentation, and task management (e.g., Asana, Google Workspace) Oversee SOP creation, updates, and implementation across teams Ensure cross-departmental alignment between Human Resources, Sales, Marketing, Curriculum and Operations departments Track deadlines, deliverables, and operational priorities Identify inefficiencies and proactively propose operational improvements Support internal reporting, dashboards, and basic performance tracking Act as a central point of coordination for internal operations and projects Support the CEO with planning and attending in-person events, conferences, and meetings Assist with event logistics including scheduling, registrations, travel coordination, and follow-up documentation Capture key notes, action items, and outcomes from in-person engagements and ensure follow-through Coordinate post-event reporting, contacts, and operational next steps Additional Expectations/Qualifications Proven experience in operations management, project coordination, or administrative leadership Strong comfort and leadership using AI tools to increase efficiency (e.g., AI for documentation, task automation, planning, or reporting) Strong knowledge of tools such as Google Workspace, Asana (or similar PM tools), and Zoom Highly organized with strong attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently, take initiative, and “lead from the middle” Comfortable supporting a fast-moving founder-led organization Able to manage multiple priorities without constant supervision Experience working remotely with distributed teams is a strong plus Working Conditions Part-time, HYBRID, contractor role (15 hours per week / 60 hours per month) Primarily remote, with occasional in-person attendance required for events, conferences, or meetings Flexibility to support some activities outside of standard hours when needed for events or deadlines Job Type: Contract Pay: $15.00 - $16.60 per hour Expected hours: 15 per week Work Location: In person
