Vice President of Commercial Operations

Role: Benchmark Building & Construction in Cleburne, Texas is hiring one commercial leader. This seat owns commercial growth, division P&L, GC relationships, bid strategy, and the future account manager team for commercial PEMB work in the Dallas-Fort Worth market.Responsibilities:Grow GC relationships that turn into qualified commercial PEMB bid opportunities.Own the commercial pipeline from relationship target to first bid to won job.Partner with JW and Hunter on bid strategy, margin guardrails, and delivery fit.Build the future commercial team across hunter, farmer, and account manager roles.Lead the division with clean weekly reporting on bid count, win count, margin, and open risks.Results:Expand Benchmark beyond today’s 15 to 20 commercial bids per month.Build a stronger GC relationship base for $500K average PEMB jobs.Create the operating structure for a commercial division that can help Benchmark grow from $14M to $60M in 3 to 5 years.Requirements:Proven experience selling or leading commercial metal building, PEMB, steel, construction, or GC relationship work.Clear proof of GC relationship development.Strong commercial judgment around bid quality, margin, and delivery fit.Ability to lead a division and build the team under it.Willingness to complete a short role video step and paid pilot before offer.Comp: $110K to $130K base. Bonus up to 15% based on division profit. OTE near $150K.
