Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician (Taylor or Carbondale)Job DescriptionThis role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and auxiliary equipment in a high-speed packaging and industrial manufacturing environment. You will perform both preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems to ensure maximum equipment uptime, efficiency, and safety.ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot, repair, and maintain all production and auxiliary production equipment to minimize downtime and ensure consistent operation.Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on packaging machinery, including high-speed packaging equipment, to maintain optimal performance.Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on production equipment.Inspect, adjust, and replace components such as motors, motor controls, VFDs, drives, and related electrical and mechanical parts as needed.Read and interpret electrical schematics to identify faults and execute accurate repairs on 480V and other industrial electrical systems.Troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems, including basic PLC diagnostics, to restore equipment functionality.Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, ensuring proper operation and adherence to equipment specifications.Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage to support reliable equipment history and continuous improvement.Follow all safety protocols and procedures while working on electrical and mechanical systems to maintain a safe work environment.Collaborate with production and other maintenance team members to quickly resolve equipment issues and support production goals.Work independently to make real-time decisions and implement effective solutions to equipment problems.Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying recurring issues and recommending long-term corrective actions.Essential SkillsAt least 3 years of related experience in an industrial maintenance role.Industrial mechanical or electrical experience, including PLC troubleshooting exposure and experience with VFDs and drives.Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems on production machinery in a manufacturing environment.Intermediate electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, including the ability to diagnose and repair complex equipment issues.Hands-on experience with industrial electric systems, including motors, motor controls, electrical panels, and electrical schematics.Ability to work safely with 480V electrical systems and other industrial power systems.Experience with hydraulics maintenance, including troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic components.Experience with pneumatic systems, including maintenance and repair of pneumatic components and circuits.Ability to troubleshoot and repair high-speed packaging machines and related equipment.Capability to work independently, make sound decisions in real time, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail when diagnosing and resolving equipment issues.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in a high-speed packaging or similar industrial manufacturing environment.Familiarity with Allen Bradley and Siemens control systems is a plus.Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.Why Work Here?The company offers a stable industry environment with opportunities for career growth and long-term development. You will work with a variety of production and auxiliary equipment, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, as well as 480V power, VFDs, drives, and PLC-controlled machinery. The culture emphasizes independence, real-time decision-making, and problem-solving, as technicians are trusted to diagnose and fix issues quickly with minimal supervision. Shift options include day and night roles, with schedules available in 8-, 10-, or 12-hour formats based on candidate preference, typically Monday through Friday for day shifts.
