Vice President of Mechanical Engineering Design

We are seeking a Vice President of Mechanical Engineering Design to lead mechanical design across a growing data center portfolio. This role drives strategy, standards, and execution to deliver high-performance, reliable, and cost-efficient systems for mission critical facilities. You’ll partner with executive leadership, internal teams, and external partners to ensure designs support both construction and long-term operations.What You’ll DoLead and implement mechanical design strategy across multiple data center projects, aligning with business goals and delivery timelinesOversee end-to-end mechanical design efforts, ensuring systems meet performance, reliability, scalability, and sustainability requirementsReview and approve engineering designs, specifications, and calculations to ensure technical accuracy and consistencyCollaborate closely with construction, commissioning, and operations teams to ensure designs support long-term performance and maintainabilityMonitor project progress, proactively identify risks, and drive solutions to stay on schedule and within budgetLead value engineering initiatives to optimize cost while maintaining system reliability and qualityBuild, mentor, and manage internal engineering teams while coordinating external consultants and partnersEstablish and enforce design standards, KPIs, and quality control processes across all projectsEnsure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and industry best practicesDevelop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and engineering partners, including negotiating scopes and contractsDrive continuous improvement by adopting new technologies, improving processes, and enhancing overall design efficiencyWhat You BringBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (required)PE license (required)10+ years of mechanical design experienceStrong background in construction or engineering operationsData center and mission critical project experience (required)Why JoinLead design for complex, high-impact data center projectsWork with a collaborative, growth-focused leadership teamInfluence strategy, innovation, and operational excellence
