Job DescriptionProvide day-to-day database support for the CCTI/CCP data warehouse environmentProvide support for data replication between production site and disaster recovery siteProvide support for performance testing the CAE and CCP applicationsAssist with troubleshooting of system and application performance related issues and recommend fixes.Other duties as assigned. QualificationsSkillsThe internal drive, intellectual curiosity, ability to learn, and desire to help the customers succeedStrong technical skillsComfortable working under Project Manager supervisionComfortable receiving instructions from lead DBA and then working independentlyAbility to work proactivelyAbility to work off-hours and weekends when necessary3 – 5 years of hands-on DB2 UDB experience in an AIX environmentStrong Unix skills o Command line processingo Reading, writing, executing, troubleshooting user scriptsRealistic, practical, real world database administration skills/experienceExperience, from a database perspective, dealing with Websphere Application Sever, HTTP Server, MQSeries and CognosExperience with Q-ReplicationExperience in Performance monitoring/testing COGNOS applicationsExperience reviewing SQL to address performance problemsMicrosoft Office experience in, at a minimum, Outlook, WORD, ExcelExperience with DPF (Data Partitioning Facility).
