Junior Research Scientist (P.I.: Dr. Aditi Bhattacharya)
A dynamic and collaborative research laboratory is seeking a highly motivated Junior Research Scientist with training in molecular biology and strong wet lab skills. The successful candidate will contribute to ongoing translational research projects involving mouse models and human pathological specimens, with opportunities for skill development in advanced experimental and analytical techniques.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform molecular biology and wet lab experiments with accuracy and attention to detailMaintain, breed, expand, and genotype mouse coloniesConduct manual and automated behavioral assays in cancer and pain mouse modelsAssist with tissue collection, processing, and analysis from mouse and human specimensMaintain accurate laboratory records and ensure compliance with institutional protocolsContribute to general lab organization and experimental workflowsOpportunities for GrowthTraining in advanced mouse handling and behavioral assaysExposure to image analysis and quantitative data analysis of human and mouse pathological specimensMentorship and opportunities to contribute to publications and conference presentationsIn compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $47,500 - $50,000.
