This locum tenens position in a scenic region of Michigans Upper Peninsula offers a chance to deliver high-quality care in a supportive environment. Position Overview: Specialty: Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) Start Date: January 10, 2025 Duration: Ongoing weekend coverage with orientation required prior to the first shift. Schedule: Weekends in January (1 PM to 9 PM shifts) Dates include 1/11-1/12, 1/18-1/19, and 1/25-1/26 Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours only (no call). Practice Setting: Primarily outpatient with some inpatient admissions. Patient Volume: Average of 36 patients per day in the Emergency Department. Requirements: License: Must hold an active Michigan state license. Certifications: Board Certification required. BLS certification mandatory. Experience: Strong preference for providers with prior Emergency Medicine experience. EMR System: Familiarity with MediTech is a plus. Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 30 days; temporary privileges available for quick start. Additional Details: Support Staff: Emergency Department physicians and RNs will be available for collaboration. Admissions: Average of 3 inpatient admissions per shift.
