POSITION SUMMARYProvides overall support for accounting management, formulating internal controls and policies, preparing financial statements, managing journal entries, assisting in budgeting, and forecasting, and reviewing accounting information for accuracy.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSDuties & Responsibilities:Prepare and analyze accurate financial statements, reports, and forecastsConduct periodic financial reviews to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvementProvide insightful analysis and recommendations to management based on financial dataMaintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliationsEnsure compliance with accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and company policiesMonitor and reconcile balance sheet accountsAssist in the development and preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecastsImplement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assetsConduct regular audits to ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirementsAssist with external audits and provide necessary documentation and supportEvaluate and recommend enhancements to financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracyStreamline and automate financial processes where possible to increase productivityCollaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and ensure data integrity and sister companiesEducation:● Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related fieldSKILLs & ABILITIESExpert knowledge of accounting and financial principles, regulations, and best practicesExcellent understanding of governmental guidelines, tax laws that affect the companyHighly organized with keen attention to detailExcellent communication and people skillsProficient in basic office and accounting software programsCollaboration and teamwork skillsInitiative-taker that goes beyond what is required, completes assignments independentlyProcess oriented – good at figuring out the processes necessary to get things done; understands how to separate and combine tasks into efficient workflow, simplifies complex processesAbility to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesExperience:Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related fieldStrong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirementsProficiency in accounting software and Microsoft ExcelExcellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keepingStrong analytical and critical thinking skillsEffective communication and people skills to collaborate with cross-functional teamsExperience in the construction, manufacturing, production, or services industry strongly preferredExperience with Percent Complete revenue recognition and WIP accounting preferredComputer Skills:Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Accounting SoftwareExperience with Sage Intacct preferred / QuickBooks experience preferredProficient in Outlook & Email CommunicationProficient in the use of electronic devicesBenefits:401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offVision insurance
