Quality Assurance Engineer

Our mission has never been more important than it is today.The Quality Assurance Engineer will create detailed test plans manual and automated also coordinate testing activities, working to resolve and troubleshoot problems and bugs. The QA Engineer will have responsibility to conduct thorough regression testing on systems once bugs are resolved. The QA Engineer will serve as a subject matter expert on several systems and will help to validate that the test cases are comprehensive.Supervisory Responsibilities: NoneDuties/Responsibilities:Create and maintain detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured manual and automated test plans and test casesEstimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activitiesIdentify, record, document thoroughly and track bugsPerform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolvedModify detailed functional specificationsExperience in driving Automation framework strategy selection, design, and implementation for large scale projectsCoach analysts through test strategies for individual systems and programsBe a subject matter expert on all common systems used at HPOnePerform other related duties as assignedRequired Skills/Abilities:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field3-5 years of QA experienceStrong knowledge of software QA methodologies and processes (i.e., Scrum, Kanban)Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test casesExperience with test management and defect tracking software tools (i.e., Jira, Bugzilla, etc.)Ability to implement test automation strategiesProficiency in test case automation using Mabl or other QA automation toolsA solid understanding of SOAP and/or REST API's is a mustAbility to understand complex business systems and developed functional specificationsAbility to use SQL and write queriesKnowledge of web services, HTML, JavaScriptConsumer Facing Web experienceExcellent attention to detailAbility to work independently and in a team environment in a positive and supportive mannerStrong problem solving, planning and decision-making skills, measures performance against goals, and evaluates resultsStrong interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of individuals at all levels of the organizationPreferred Skills/Abilities:Experience with performance and/or security testingPhysical Requirements:Must be able to remain in a stationary position (e.g., sitting or standing) for extended periods of time, typically in a cubicle environment (constant noise, fluorescent overhead lighting)Frequent use of a computer, dual monitors, keyboard, mouse, and other standard office equipment such as a telephone, copier, and printer.Must be able to communicate effectively, including exchanging information in person, in writing, by telephone, email or video conferencing.Visual and auditory acuity required to perform job duties effectively, including reading, writing, and interpreting information on screens or in print.Hand dexterity, fine motor skills needed to operate a keyboard and mouse efficientlyReach with hands and arms occasionallyFor Hybrid Roles:Must be able to commute to an office setting as required, which may include walking short distances and navigating an office environment.Occasionally moves about the office to access files, office machinery, and meet with others.
