This position will focus on outpatient care, but will also share inpatient consultation duties.Outpatient responsibilities involve providing care for a wide variety of patients with musculoskeletal, spine conditions, and neurological conditions (e.g., stroke, acquired brain injury), as well as amputation and providing continuity of care for patients who were discharged from our acute inpatient rehabilitation.Inpatient care will involve performing hospital consultations in the intensive care unit and general medical floor at our Level I Trauma Center and acute care hospital.Candidates with interest or experience in procedures such as joint injections, musculoskeletal ultrasound, cryoneurolysis, nerve blocks and botulinum toxin injections for spasticity management are especially welcomed.Why You'll Love Working at Hennepin Healthcare:Ability to work with patients from diverse socioeconomic, gender, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.We have a highly engaged and collegial team of seven physicians and four APPs contributing to advance our Hennepin Healthcare vision of providing "Exceptional Care without Exception".Call responsibility 1:6-8 weeks on average.Opportunities for medical student/resident/fellow education and research. Our Knapp Rehabilitation Center which partners with Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, is an inpatient specialty program serving adolescent and adult patients various conditions that includes but not limited to traumatic brain injury, non-traumatic brain injury, stroke, multiple trauma, spinal cord injury, burn, amputation, other neurological conditions. QUALIFICATIONSMinimum QualificationsMust possess (or be eligible for) current unrestricted license to practice Medicine in the State of MinnesotaCompletion of an ACGME or Royal Canadian Internal Medicine residency programBoard Certified or Board Eligible in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. If Board Eligible, must be Board Certified within 4 years from the date of completion of the applicable residency, fellowship or training programCurrent D.E.A.
