Fiber Change Management Analyst
Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Fiber Change Management Analyst to support our client's Fiber's Network Operations by coordinating and managing maintenance events that minimize customer impact and ensure timely service restoration. This is a high-visibility, detail-driven role that serves as a critical communication and coordination hub between internal teams, vendors, and customers. This is a remote position, but you must be based in the South Florida area.Night Shift, 10pm-8am, 4 days on/3 days off with some weekend work to be expected.First 2 weeks of work will be in office for orientation working 8am-5pm Monday -Friday.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and manage internal and vendor-led fiber maintenance eventsReview and assess Methods of Procedure (MOPs) for accuracy and riskApprove maintenance events and validate execution readinessPerform circuit impact research, assessment, and validationIdentify and resolve conflicts between internal, external maintenance, and network outagesSchedule and coordinate maintenance activities across internal teams, vendors, and customersResearch customer data to ensure accurate and timely notificationsDeliver proactive customer communications and maintenance notificationsSupport the Change Management (CM) support line by logging maintenance progress and assisting technicians remotelyDiagnose, troubleshoot, and clear alarms reported through NMS event logs related to change activityServe as the primary point of contact for Change Management service assurance inquiriesParticipate in record validation and data integrity projects Experience & Requirements3-5 years of telecommunications experience requiredHands-on working knowledge of:SONETIP protocols and routingLayer 2 switchingWDM and Dark Fiber servicesOTDR testingExperience with NMS alarm monitoringWorking knowledge of circuit inventory systems (e.G., OSP Insight, Netcracker)NOC or Network Operations experience strongly preferredProficiency with Microsoft Office products Key SkillsStrong analytical and troubleshooting capabilitiesExceptional attention to detail and documentation accuracyAbility to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environmentExcellent organizational and time-management skillsSound judgment and decision-making under pressureClear, professional communication skillsCustomer-first mindset with a commitment to service excellenceCollaborative, cross-functional team player with a positive attitude What Will Catch Our EyeExperience supporting large-scale service provider networks, comfort owning overnight maintenance coordination, and the ability to calmly manage competing priorities while protecting customer uptime.
