Senior Software Architect

Senior Cloud / infrastructure Software Engineer – Los Angeles, CaliforniaInnovative and industry challenging company at seed stage with a global business to business product are looking for an experienced Cloud / infrastructure software engineer to take on ownership and build out the infrastructure that underpins the platform they provide. You will be designing, building and have control of the core systems that keep the real-time operations they provide performing securely, reliably and with the ability to scale. This is a bottleneck for them, and they are looking for someone who can come into a fast paced, exciting and challenging environment providing leadership in this area. You will need to have a solid understanding and background of designing an evolving cloud infrastructure within an AWS background that can support high-throughput, real-time, mission critical systems. These will need to be scalable distributed systems that are highly secure and resilient. Your experience will include strong knowledge of Amazon Web Services including VPCs, container orchestration, networking, load balancing and high-performance storage.This will be architecting multi-region cloud deployments over complex global infrastructure. You will have proven / solid experience with Terraform building and owning cloud infrastructure from the ground up in production environments. This will be coupled with solid knowledge of distributed systems, Docker (container orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, Grafana (observability) and solid networking. They are looking for someone with the ability to take ownership and work autonomously in a fast paced and challenging environment. Any experience in start-up or early-stage organisations with fast growth would be a real bonus. They need someone with great communication skills and the ability to stay ahead of the curve and show real leadership in this critical area for the business.They need someone based in Los Angeles and happy to be in the office 5 days a week.
