Our customers and community members know that they can rely on us for Legendary Service and quality products.Job title: Local Class C Driver - MillworksPay: Starting at $25.60 to $30.30 an hour, depending on experienceSchedule: Monday-Friday 6am to 2:30pm, or until all loads for the day have been delivered.Location: Fife, WashingtonAt PARR, our Drivers are essential to fulfilling the needs of our customers by making sure they are receiving their orders on-time and in great condition. The ideal driver is someone driven to maintain safety regulations and above and beyond customer service.The Millworks Driver reports directly to the General Manager and Assistant Manager. They will interact daily with customers, Dispatchers, Receivers, and Load Builders.QualificationsClass C LicenseMust be 21 years old or overAbility to speak, write, and read English requiredCurrent DOT Medical Card Acceptable driving recordKnowledge of vehicle safety audits and reports of any malfunctioning equipment as required by Federal and State regulations and company policyOpen and transparent communicationFamiliarity with GPS devices or map applicationsDriving experience within 50-mile radius of primary location preferredDuties And ResponsibilitiesSafely and efficiently load and unload building materials from commercial motor vehicleLegally, safely, and efficiently travel to destinations through public and private roads Complete mileage and fuel usage reportsDemonstrates commitment to on-time and in-full deliveriesFollow delivery procedures by taking photos of the delivered shipment after completing each deliveryPerform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of all equipmentEstablish and maintain professional relationships with customers, contractors, and vendorsPerform required safety audit of vehicle (daily safety audits, weekly brake inspections) and promptly report any malfunctioning equipment as required by Federal and state regulations and company policyPromptly report all accidents/incidentsAnnually update driver's qualification file as required by Federal and state regulations and company policyMaintain yard, warehouse, and vehicle cleanliness during the course of workFinds productive work to do in downtimeKeeps truck supplied, organized, and cleanComes to work professionally attiredChecks load for accuracyProactively manages job site conditions for the next delivery and communicates with othersAlways provides required paperwork and scanning for dispatchSeeks to learn products and their application for the end usersLearns and follows established best practicesLearns from mistakes and accepts coaching as opportunitiesDemonstrates legal and thorough knowledge of tie down rules and regsUnderstands weight, height, and length limitsEnsures that all material transported on the truck has either an invoice or Material Returns FormContinues to participate in training as availableLearning best practices related to efficient loading, strapping, and drivingThis position will be working at a millworks facility and delivering to jobsites in all weather conditions.Physical RequirementsAbility to sit and/or stand for extended periods of timeMust be able to lift/push/pull up to 75 pounds and carry objects 50 feetMust be able to work in an office environmentMust be able to travel occasionallyBenefitsWe know that without great people, we can't be a great company.
