Payroll Specialist

Payroll SpecialistLocation: On-Site; Nottingham, MD or Meridian, MS Full-Time | Non-Exempt Mitchell Companies is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage multi-state payroll in a high-volume, multi-location environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, solid compliance knowledge, and hands-on experience with ADP. This position plays a critical role in ensuring payroll is processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with federal and state regulations. This is a deadline-driven role with minimal room for error. What You'll Do Process weekly and/or biweekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees Audit time and attendance records prior to payroll submission Ensure accurate calculation of overtime, commissions, bonuses, and deductions Manage garnishments, tax withholdings, and related compliance requirements Maintain payroll records and employee data within ADP Partner with HR and Finance to resolve payroll discrepancies Support year-end processing including W-2 preparation Respond to employee payroll inquiries professionally and promptly What You Bring 3+ years of full-cycle payroll processing experience Hands-on ADP experience (Workforce Now strongly preferred) Multi-state payroll experience Strong understanding of wage and hour regulations High level of accuracy and accountability Proficiency in Excel Ability to manage confidential information appropriately Experience in multi-location operations is preferred.
