Structural Engineer

Job Overview:We are seeking a Structural Design Engineer to join a growing structural engineering consulting firm in New Jersey. This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects including commercial, residential, mixed use, industrial, institutional, restoration, and existing building projects throughout the Tri State area.The ideal candidate will have experience in structural analysis and design, strong technical capabilities, and the ability to collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and clients on complex engineering projects.Key Responsibilities:• Perform structural analysis and design for steel, concrete, masonry, timber, and foundation systems• Prepare structural calculations, design drawings, specifications, and technical reports• Work on new construction, renovation, restoration, and existing building projects• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams• Conduct site visits, field observations, and structural assessments as needed• Utilize structural engineering software such as RISA 3D, RAM, ETABS, STAAD, or similar programs• Support preparation of construction documents and respond to RFIs/submittals during construction phases• Assist with project management responsibilities including schedules, client communication, and deliverables• Ensure designs comply with local building codes and industry standards including IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI requirements.
