Manual MachinistWe are seeking a highly skilled Manual Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in operating manual lathes, mills, and related shop equipment, with a strong commitment to precision, safety, and quality workmanship. This position requires the ability to work independently, interpret technical drawings, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced production environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate manual lathes, mills, and related shop equipmentRead and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work ordersPerform accurate measurements using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gaugesVerify dimensions and maintain tolerances within required specsSelect appropriate tooling, speeds, and feedsMaintain equipment and keep the work area clean and organizedPerform minor repairs and adjustments as neededCollaborate with assembly, welding, and engineering teamsAdhere to all safety standards, procedures, and company policiesPreferred QualificationsExperience with basic CNC operation (a plus, not required)Welding or fabrication experience also helpfulExperience in a job-shop or custom manufacturing environmentAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced production scheduleProven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet production deadlinesRequirements3+ years of experience as a Manual Machinist (or proven skills to match)Strong knowledge of machining processes and materialsAbility to read and understand technical drawingsProficiency with precision measuring instruments and inspection proceduresStrong math and problem-solving skillsReliable, punctual, and able to work independentlyAble to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
