Accounting Manager

We are partnering with a rapidly growing, PE-backed organization seeking an Accounting Manager to join its leadership team in the Portsmouth, NH area.This is a high-impact opportunity within a company that has been established for 30+ years and is now entering an exciting growth and modernization phase following a recent acquisition.The role offers strong visibility, mentorship from leadership with Big 4 foundation, and the opportunity to gain exposure across virtually all areas of accounting and finance while helping build scalable processes for a growing organization.Schedule:Hybrid — 4 days onsite / 1 day remoteKey Responsibilities:Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closeOversee general ledger and accounting operationsManage financial reporting and reconciliationsSupport budgeting, forecasting, and process improvementsPartner cross-functionally with operations leadershipAssist with implementation and enhancement of scalable accounting processesMentor and help lead a small accounting teamPreferred Background:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field5-10+ years of accounting experiencePublic/private accounting mix preferredCPA preferredExperience in growth-oriented and/or PE-backed environments a plusWIP/POC experience helpful but not requiredStrong systems/process improvement mindsetExcellent opportunity for an up-and-coming accounting professional looking for broader exposure and long-term growth within a fast-moving organization.
