The right candidates for this role will be able to execute strategic projects, optimize CI/CD workflows, and drive infrastructure modernization. They will play a critical part in maturing our automation ecosystem (GitLab, Ansible Automation Platform and Terraform Enterprise) as we move from previously used toolsets ensuring robust, scalable, and secure pipelines. Required Skills and Experience:8+ years of Administration experience in multiple complex applications and toolsSoftware Configuration Management expertise Experience administering GitLab, Artifactory, Xray, & SonarQubeExperience with Terraform and AnsibleUnderstanding and working knowledge of containerization on Kubernetes/Open ShiftFamiliarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and IBM CloudStrong communication skills and a track record of cross-team collaborationWorking knowledge of different Software Development Lifecycle MethodologiesExperience configuring and managing GitLab Runners, Groups, Projects, and Permissions at scaleHarden GitLab for enterprise usage (SAML/SSO, LDAP, RBAC, backup/restore)Design, implement, and optimize complex GitLab CI/CD pipelines using YAML best practicesLeverage Terraform, Ansible, or similar to provision and manage self-hosted GitLab and runnersImplement GitOps practices to manage infrastructure and environment configurationsAutomate operational tasks and incident remediation via pipelines and scriptsPartner with application teams to onboard them onto GitLab workflows and best practicesDevelop and maintain clear runbooks, wiki pages, and pipeline templatesIntegrate monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana, ELK) for GitLab health and pipeline performanceImplement policies and guardrails to ensure code quality, compliance, and security postureTroubleshoot and resolve CI/CD or migration-related incidents in a timely mannerAvailable for 24/7 On-call support Preferred:A BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience with good scripting/programming skillsGitLab Certified AdministratorRecent experience administering GitLab Self-ManagedPrior software experience with build management, configuration management and/or quality testingExperience with SCM practices including Agile, continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD)
