Senior Process Engineer

Role Overview As a Senior Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of automated test processes for complex electro-mechanical medical diagnostic systems. You will bridge the gap between R&D and manufacturing, focusing heavily on creating high-performance test fixtures using LabVIEW and TestStand.Core ResponsibilitiesTest System Development: Design and integrate complex automated test fixtures from concept to hardware/software validation.Automation & Control: Mastermind control systems utilizing LabVIEW, TestStand, and motion control for hardware-software synchronization.Process Validation: Execute rigorous validation protocols, including pFMECA, IQ/OQ/PQ, Gauge R&R, and DoE, to ensure manufacturing excellence.Technical Leadership: Mentor junior engineers, lead cross-functional investigations, and provide technical guidance for on-market product support.Documentation & Compliance: Author critical design control documentation and manage deliverables in alignment with project timelines and corporate goals.Data Analysis: Interpret complex data sets and identify trends to optimize process conditions and resolve product defects.Required Skills & CapabilitiesTechnical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in LabVIEW and TestStand is mandatory. Strong foundation in electrical engineering and electro-mechanical systems.Operational Tools: Familiarity with CAD (Creo preferred), Python, and statistical software (Minitab).Problem Solving: Expert-level root cause analysis, critical thinking, and creative troubleshooting.Project Management: Ability to self-manage complex tasks, generate predictable schedules, and manage supplier deliverables.Soft Skills: Excellent communication for cross-functional collaboration and a strong aptitude for leadership and mentoring.Education & ExperienceEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field.Experience: * Minimum 8 years in product development/relevant engineering (or 4–6 years with an advanced degree).Highly Desired: Experience within the In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) or medical device industry.Language: Full proficiency in English.Travel: Occasional domestic and international travel may be required.Up to $1000 available for successful referrals so reach out if you have anyone who you think could be a fit.Contact info:l.denham@x4engineering.com
