Our KT Innovation team focuses on bringing new ideas to life through electrical engineering, rapid prototyping, hardware integration, and next-generation product innovation.We're looking for an Electrical Engineer to help design and develop technology that powers globally recognized fitness brands. In this role, you'll work closely with engineering, product, and manufacturing teams to bring new concepts from prototype to production in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.We are open to candidates with varying levels of experience, and level/title will be aligned based on background and expertise.What You'll Do:Design and develop electrical hardware solutions for innovative fitness equipment and connected technologiesResearch, evaluate, and integrate new technologies, features, and product concepts into future productsCreate proof-of-concept prototypes and collaborate with Product Management teams for refinement and developmentSupport new product development efforts by transitioning concepts into production-ready solutionsDevelop and maintain technical documentation, specifications, and design requirementsTroubleshoot complex hardware, firmware, and system integration challengesCollaborate with global engineering and manufacturing teams, including overseas development partnersContribute to new intellectual property, product innovation, and technology advancementsWork in a fast-moving development environment focused on continuous improvement, iteration, and creative problem-solvingRequirementsWhat We're Looking For:Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institutionProfessional experience with electrical hardware designExperience with technical troubleshooting and system-level problem solvingUnderstanding of PCB layout best practices and board bring-upFamiliarity with EMC/EMI requirements and mitigation techniquesExperience with motor control, control theory, or related applicationsUnderstanding of firmware development and system engineering conceptsExperience writing technical documentation and design specificationsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to collaborate across diverse engineering, product, and manufacturing teamsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with analog and digital hardware designExperience with microcontrollers, system connectivity, and digital communicationsExperience with firmware development and hardware/software integrationConsumer electronics, IoT, or fitness product development experienceExperience working with overseas development or manufacturing teamsAbility and desire to mentor less experienced engineersHands-on prototyping and testing experienceStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritiesAdditional Information:* This position is based onsite at our Cottage Grove, WI headquarters* International travel may be required approximately 1-2 times annuallyBenefits:We offer a competitive compensation package and team-oriented environment with strong growth opportunities, including:Health & Dental InsuranceCompany-Paid Life Insurance401(k)Paid Time OffEmployee Product DiscountsWellness ProgramsEqual Opportunity Employer, including Protected Veterans and Individuals with Disabilities.
