Maintenance Technician I-III

Job SummaryThe Maintenance Technician I–III is responsible for performing preventive and predictive maintenance and repairing production equipment as needed. This role also supports senior technicians with electrical and mechanical projects while ensuring safe and efficient equipment operation in a manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment.Assist senior technicians with equipment repairs while learning best practices.Support small electrical and mechanical projects under the direction of the Team Lead or Supervisor.Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards and recommend improvements when needed.Work collaboratively with production teams to support operational efficiency.Repair and replace electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic components including motors, contactors, relays, timers, switches, PLCs, light curtains, motor controls, and valves.Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in electrical equipment and integrated systems.Install and repair electrical wiring, conduits, receptacles, switch boxes, cable assemblies, and lighting fixtures.Maintain equipment performance and assist with managing spare parts inventory.Support equipment installation, setup, modification, and relocation.Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams.Test electrical and electronic components for voltage, current, resistance, and continuity.Respond to equipment breakdowns and resolve issues to prevent production downtime.Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures when servicing equipment.Accurately complete work orders and maintenance documentation.QualificationsSkillsExperience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical equipment.Knowledge of PLC systems, robotics, AC/DC and servo drives, motion control, HMI interfaces, and motor controls.Ability to read electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.Understanding of PLC programming concepts (e.g., Siemens Step 7, Beckhoff TwinCat).Knowledge of electrical circuitry including relays, contactors, limit switches, and proximity sensors.Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is a plus.TraitsStrong teamwork and collaboration skills.Mechanical aptitude and interest in technical problem-solving.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Detail-oriented with strong follow-through.Willingness to work rotating shifts.Ability to support and manage small technical projects.Education & ExperienceMinimum 2 years of relevant experience with strong troubleshooting skills.Preferred:Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment.Technical trade school certificate or related military training.
