Senior Mobile Engineer (Android)

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer (Android) to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.This role will focus on building and evolving mobile experiences that connect customer needs with business objectives in a highly collaborative environment. You will partner closely with product, design, and backend engineering teams to define problems, shape solutions, and deliver features from concept through execution. The position also offers the opportunity to influence technical direction, mentor other engineers, and help improve development efficiency through modern AI-native workflows.Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship availableCompensation: $199,800 – $244,200 annuallyResponsibilities Collaborate with product and design teams to define problems and shape solutions from concept to execution Build and enhance systems to source and present offers, balancing customer value with business goals Contribute to both Android and iOS or backend technologies as needed Use AI tools for code generation and improve development efficiency across platforms Transform customer feedback and business objectives into technical implementations Conduct experiments to validate feature effectiveness and iterate based on results Design new APIs in partnership with backend engineers to support application communicationQualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience 4+ years of experience building and maintaining mobile applications, particularly Android Product-oriented mindset with a focus on customer outcomes and business impact Experience as a tech lead, managing end-to-end projects and mentoring junior engineers Ability to work across stacks, with strength in Android and willingness to support iOS and backend development Familiarity with AI-native development workflows, including AI coding tools and agents Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration with product and design teamsBenefits Opportunity for remote work, with potential hybrid options two days a week in the Vancouver office Input in shaping product outcomes and the development process Mentorship opportunities for professional growth and skill enhancement Access to cutting-edge AI tools to aid in development Equity options in the company as part of the compensation packageOur client is an equal opportunity employer.
