The project involves assessing existing manual processes and identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery, data quality, and decision-making.Scope of Work:The Business Analyst will conduct a comprehensive review of current processes, identify modernization opportunities, and recommend practical strategies for improvement. The role includes collaboration with stakeholders and technical teams to align solutions with organizational standards and strategic objectives.Key Responsibilities: Process Review & Modernization:Analyze current manual processes and identify opportunities for improvementRecommend process re-engineering using Lean Six Sigma principlesIdentify opportunities for automation, digitization, and AI adoption Project Planning & Stakeholder Engagement:Develop and maintain a detailed work plan including timelines and resourcesConduct process mapping and gap analysis across multiple business unitsCollaborate with technical teams to ensure alignment with standards and systems Evaluation & Analysis:Develop baseline metrics such as cycle time, effort, error rates, and volumeCreate end-to-end process maps and identify pain points and root causesAssess feasibility and alignment of modernization opportunitiesEstimate potential efficiency gains and performance improvements Reporting & Recommendations:Prepare executive-level reports and presentationsDeliver a phased roadmap for modernization and technology adoptionProvide actionable insights and validate recommendations with stakeholders Change Management Support:Support change management initiatives for successful adoption of new processes and technologiesDeliverables:Work Plan outlining activities, milestones, and resourcesBaseline Assessment Report with process maps and metricsModernization Evaluation FrameworkModernization Opportunities Report with categorized improvementsTechnology Adoption Roadmap for AI and emerging technologiesFinal Operational Modernization Report for executive stakeholdersChange Management Support PlanRequired Qualifications:Strong experience as a Senior IT Business Analyst in large-scale transformation projectsExpertise in process analysis, process mapping, and gap analysisExperience applying Lean Six Sigma principlesStrong stakeholder engagement and communication skillsAbility to develop executive-level reports and strategic recommendationsPreferred Skills:Experience with digital transformation, automation, and AI initiativesFamiliarity with enterprise IT environments and governance frameworksStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilitiesExclusions (Out of Scope):Development or implementation of technical solutionsPost-implementation monitoring or benefit realization trackingProcurement or vendor management activitiesOngoing system support or maintenanceAdditional Requirements:Must be able to work onsite full-time in Edmonton, ABAbility to manage multiple stakeholders and complex workflowsStrong documentation and presentation skills
