At December 31, 2019, Valeo had 191 plants, 20 research centers, 39 development centers and 15 distribution platforms, and employed 114,700 people in 33 countries worldwide.Valeo is listed on the Paris Stock Exchange.About The RoleProduction Operator Responsibilities:Work on production and/or repack services Perform assembly workTasks require a high level of skill with a variety of hand tools, precision measuring equipment, and machineryTypically involves a variety of operations, including troubleshooting and rework, requiring a sufficient understanding of the functional operation of the items assembled as well as the finished productMust be able to work from complex and detailed manufacturing documentation and/or verbal and written instructions and specialized fixtures/test equipmentOperators are also responsible for quality activities, including self-inspection, and stop scrap activities Updates production records and test resultsCommunicates problems to appropriate personnel Identify discrepant materials/components both in writing and verbally to supervisorComplete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules and within standard timesMaintain a clean and orderly work areaDevelop versatility and competence in all related job tasks and operations Wear all necessary PPEOperation of handheld technology and basis computer skillsWorking within a limited climate control environmentWhat You Should HaveMinimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience at one companyHigh School diploma or equivalent, or evidence of exceptional abilityFlexible work availability and comfortable with overtime as neededOpen minded to working in an assigned production departmentAbility to read and understand manufacturing instructionsMust have strong command of the English language, both written and verbalMust have ability to use basic math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying and basic division) Must be reliable, have good initiative, committed, and quality focusedAbility to perform repetitive duties while standing for long periods of timeAbility to lift 20-50 lbs on a daily basisAbility to maintain a safe working environmentCooperate and function in a team based environment Shift7:00am - 3:30ppmOvertime as neededJob Type: Full-timeBenefits401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offTuition reimbursementVision insurancePet InsuranceJoin us!Thanks to its strategy focused on innovation, Valeo aims at reducing CO² emissions and developing intuitive driving to propose greener, safer, and smarter mobility.
