Consumer & Product PR Manager
Job Summary Our client is seeking a Consumer & Product PR Manager to join their team! They are looking for a strategic, organized media-savvy storyteller and creative strategist who can expertly manage product, consumer and creator program announcements with internal and external partners. You will manage cross-functional projects, collaborate with agency partners, maintain a steady drumbeat of national PR initiatives, and find creative ways to turn press coverage into opportunities to drive awareness for a steaming platform's brand, mission and product offerings. Core Responsibilities Support consumer news moments and a steady drumbeat of press coverage around product launches, seasonal moments, brand campaigns, and creator announcementsSupport the product narrative and feature announcements that deliver against the brand's promise and value propositionsManage consumer PR campaigns that illustrate fandoms and meets ownable cultural momentsSupport creative storyline campaigns leveraging insights/data to elevate the streaming platform brandPartner with the Creators team to provide support for the program, slates, and momentumWork cross functionally with team members in marketing, engineering, legal, product, social, creative, ad sales, publicity and more to ensure programs and campaigns are holisticDevelop communications materials including messaging, media statements, press releases, and blog postsBuild and maintain strong relationships with new media (podcasts, newsletters etc.), national tech media, and lifestyle pressManage external agencies and drive meaningful, consistent consumer coverage in local and national press Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves) Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, or equivalent work experience5+ years of proven communications experience; experience with product communications at consumer and technology companies are preferredDeep curiosity for culture, niche communities, and emerging trends, with a proven ability to connect those insights to product, creator and consumer initiativesDemonstrated ability to execute high impact strategic external communication plans and resultsExperience in managing complex issues and multiple priorities with sound judgment and adaptabilityStrong media relations experience and relationships with journalistsExcellent writer and detail-oriented editor with knowledge of AP style Key Competencies & Behaviors Strategic storytelling with cultural awarenessCross-functional collaboration and relationship buildingAdaptability and proactive execution Work Environment Location: San Francisco, CA; Los Angeles, CA; New York, NYHybrid Compensation & Benefits Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $55.00 and $65.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location.
