AWS Streaming Data Engineer
AWS Streaming Data Engineer As an AWS Streaming Data Engineer, you will solve problems with complete end-to-end streaming solutions in a fast, agile environment. You'll not only develop software, but build systems that make a difference, turning vision into production-ready solutions. You will work with real-time data ingestion and processing systems across distributed environments and help clients overcome challenging problems using the latest architectural approaches, tools, and technologies. You will ensure that solutions consider architecture, operating environment, future functionality and enhancements.
You Have: 5+ years of experience in software development with a cloud-first approach
4+ years of experience with enterprise data engineering, including geospatial data
3+ years of experience with AWS services and cloud-native architecture patterns (ECS/EKS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, EC2, RDS, DynamoDB, IAM, security groups, network security)
3+ years of experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (AWS CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation)
Experience developing ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS services
Experience with API design and versioning for distributed streaming systems, including Apache Kafka
Experience deploying production geospatial solutions from concept to operation and maintenance
Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to take a polygraph exam
Bachelor's degree
Nice If You Have: Experience with Authority to Operate (ATO) processes and security documentation
Experience with database administration and optimization (RDS, DynamoDB, or MongoDB)
Leadership of technical initiatives in large-scale environments
System design experience (scalability and reliability)
Dashboard and monitoring development for streaming services
Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
AWS certifications (Solutions Architect or Developer)
IAT Level II+ or Security+/CISSP certifications
Compensation The projected salary range is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). Salary is determined by location, education, experience, and other factors. The range is one component of the total compensation package.
