Underwriting Associate - Real Estate Industrials

A leading real assets investment platform is seeking a Senior Analyst or Associate to join its Investments team, with a focus on ground-up development and value creation across logistics and industrial assets. This role is based in Washington, DC. Qualifications2–5 years of experience in real estate private equity/developmentPrior exposure to industrial or logistics real estate strongly preferred, especially ground-up developmentStrong financial modeling skills (Excel proficiency required; Argus experience a plus)Solid understanding of real estate development fundamentals, including construction timelines, cost structures, and entitlement processesAbility to independently manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsBachelor’s degree required; strong academic background preferredHighly motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a lean, entrepreneurial team settingKey ResponsibilitiesSupport sourcing, underwriting, and execution of ground-up industrial development opportunities across key U.S. logistics marketsBuild and maintain detailed financial models for development, value-add, and core-plus industrial investmentsConduct market research on industrial demand drivers, tenant profiles, rent trends, and supply/demand dynamicsAssist in deal execution including due diligence, financing coordination, legal documentation, and closing processesWork closely with development partners, brokers, lenders, and internal stakeholders through the full investment lifecycleMonitor construction progress, budgets, leasing activity, and ongoing asset performancePrepare investment memoranda, committee materials, and portfolio reporting for senior leadershipContribute to strategic initiatives around portfolio construction and market expansion
