We provide the leads; you provide the expertise and the solutions.Job DescriptionThe HVAC Sales Technician is responsible for performing in-home technical consultations, diagnosing system failures, and presenting homeowners with replacement or upgrade options. This role requires a blend of advanced technical knowledge and "consultative sales" skills. You will manage the customer journey from the initial diagnosis to the final proposal, ensuring every homeowner receives a solution tailored to their budget and comfort needs.Key Responsibilities and Sales DutiesConsultative Selling: Conduct thorough home comfort assessments to identify opportunities for system replacements, indoor air quality (IAQ) upgrades, and high-efficiency heat pump solutions.Technical Diagnosis: Perform expert-level diagnostics on residential HVAC systems to determine if a repair or a full "change-out" is the most cost-effective and reliable path for the customer.Proposal Presentation: Create and present professional digital proposals using company software, explaining the features, benefits, and long-term energy savings of various equipment tiers.Lead Conversion: Follow up on service-generated leads and company-provided appointments to maintain a high closing ratio and meet monthly sales quotas.Financing Expertise: Educate homeowners on available financing options and rebates to make high-ticket comfort solutions affordable.Project Handoff: Work closely with the installation team to ensure all job specifications, blueprints, and customer expectations are clearly communicated for a seamless install.Customer Experience: Act as the primary point of contact for the homeowner during the decision-making process, ensuring 100% satisfaction and "raving fan" reviews.Documentation: Accurately complete sales contracts, load calculations, and financing paperwork using company-provided technology (ServiceTitan).QualificationsRequired QualificationsSales Aptitude: Proven ability to build rapport quickly, overcome objections, and close high-value residential service contracts.Technical Background: Minimum of 2+ years of experience in HVAC service or installation to ensure technical credibility with the customer.Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills.
