Kimball Solutions is not responsible for any fees related to unsolicited resumes.Quick Summary: This person is responsible to ensure all aspects of freight payment, inbound/outbound quoting, and customs compliance are completed when needed, to support evolving supplier/customer needs and KEJ financial success.Evaluate and drive for continuous process improvementsCoordinate the creation and distribution of freight reporting metricsManage third party freight billings to ensure timely and accurate payments are madeManage carriers which includes negotiation of ratesManage and control Premium Freight Authorization (PFA) instancesTracking of expedited freight inbound/outboundCoordinate Import / ExportsSupport the Safety team with the Customs Trade Partnership against Terrorism (C-TPAT) program.Complete USMCA certification requests and other similar certification requestsMaintain harmonized codes & country of origin in SAPSupports Shipping, Buyers and Planners in determining best freight methodsBasic Background Requirements: This position will require:Strong computer skills, especially MS ExcelKnowledgeable of SAP M/M (Materials Management), P/P (Production Planning), and IM (Inventory Management)General understanding of manufacturing’s business processesGood mathematical skillsStrong investigative and problem-solving skillsAbility to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasksTake initiative, ownership and meet deadlinesAbility to adapt and manage changeTeam playerAbility to communicate at all levelsResults focusedKey Performance ObjectivesShort Term: (0 to 3 months)Learn 3rd party freight payment system and identify opportunities for improvementEvaluate and drive for continuous process improvements within the area of logisticsMidterm: (3 to 12 months)Develop a carrier scorecardWork with the Planning and Purchasing teams to identify and implement opportunities for improvementOther (ad hoc priorities)Support the Safety team with the Customs Trade Partnership against Terrorism (C-TPAT) program.Complete USMCA certification requests and other similar certification requestsMaintain harmonized codes & country of origin in SAPStay abreast of the latest logistics trends and initiatives for our business and our customer’s businessDon’t meet every single requirement?
