Grain Operations Manager

We are seeking a Grain Operations Manager to oversee daily operations across multiple grain facilities within a growing agribusiness. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable grain handling operations while leading facility teams, maintaining grain quality standards, and driving operational excellence across all locations.The ideal candidate will bring strong grain operations experience, proven leadership ability, and a hands-on management style with the ability to coordinate logistics, maintenance, staffing, and customer service across a multiple locations.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership and oversight for multiple grain handling and storage facilitiesManage daily grain operations including receiving, drying, storage, blending, and outbound shipmentsEnsure facilities operate safely and remain compliant with OSHA, DOT, EPA, and company safety standardsLead, mentor, and develop operations personnel and facility managers across all locationsCoordinate grain movement, rail logistics, truck traffic, and inventory management to maximize efficiencyMonitor grain quality and condition to maintain company and customer standardsDevelop and manage operational budgets, maintenance planning, and capital improvement projectsCollaborate with merchandising, agronomy, and accounting teams to support business objectivesDrive operational consistency, process improvement, and cost-control initiatives across the networkOversee preventative maintenance programs and equipment reliability effortsAssist with staffing, scheduling, training, and performance managementBuild and maintain strong relationships with producers, commercial customers, vendors, and transportation partnersSupport harvest operations and provide leadership during peak seasonal demand periodsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Agriculture, Operations Management, Business, or related field preferred3+ years of grain operations leadership experience requiredExperience overseeing multiple grain facilities or large-scale grain operations preferredStrong understanding of grain handling systems, storage management, and logisticsKnowledge of safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance standardsProven ability to lead teams, improve operations, and manage priorities in a fast-paced environmentAll qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.GPAC (Growing People and Companies) is an award-winning search firm specializing in placing quality professionals within multiple industries across the United States since 1990.
