When you apply and get hired, you are eligible for a $500 sign-on bonus.Location: Camden County, NJJob Type/Status: Full TimeSalary: $54,600 to $60,060 per yearPosition Summary:The Camden County SV Trauma Counselor provides trauma-informed, therapeutic support to individuals and families affected by sexual violence. This role involves conducting mental health assessments, developing treatment plans, providing individual and group counseling, and supporting survivors in their healing and empowerment journey. The Trauma Counselor works within a survivor-centered, culturally responsive framework to address the emotional, psychological, and behavioral impact of abuse.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct trauma-informed biopsychosocial clinical assessments and mental health screeningsProvide individual counseling to adolescent (13+) and adult survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence and their non-offending family members and significant othersCo-facilitate or facilitate psychoeducational and support groupsAssist clients with safety planning and crisis interventionDevelop individualized service plans and personal safety plans with clientsAdminister and collect program evaluationsMaintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with agency policies and state and federal confidentiality lawsCollaborate with other SERV staff, including advocates and case managers to ensure comprehensive services are provided to clientsProvide referrals to community resources as neededParticipate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and staff trainingsSupport outreach, prevention education, or community awareness events as appropriateAttend community meetings/coalitions as appropriateAssist with office procedures pertaining to the operation of the programQualifications:Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.Licensed or license-eligible (LSW, LCSW, LAC, LPC, LMFT) in the state of NJ.Ability to pass comprehensive background checksSuccessful completion of the 60 hour NJ Confidential Sexual Violence Advocate (CSVA) and Domestic Violence Response Team (DVRT) TrainingAbility to work with individuals from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgroundsExcellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skillsCommitment to survivor-centered, empowerment-based practiceExperience working with survivors of violence or trauma (preferred)Working Conditions:May provide services in an office, safe house, or virtual/telehealth setting, or off-site/community locationSome evening or weekend hours may be required.Benefits:At the Center for Family Services, our employees are our greatest resource, and we are committed to investing in our staff.
