Security Technician Supervisor
Emergency Vehicle Upfitting Shop ManagerThis hybrid role encompasses managing both the operational and technical aspects of our upfitting shop while supervising the installation of emergency and specialized vehicle equipment. The ideal candidate will bring leadership, technical expertise, and customer service excellence to ensure smooth workflow, quality assurance, and customer satisfaction.Key Responsibilities:Operational ManagementOversee day-to-day shop operations to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards.Manage inventory, including ordering, stocking, and organizing products for emergency vehicle upfitting.Implement and maintain shop policies, procedures, and production standards.Collaborate with the Director of Operations to optimize labor resources and streamline processes.Supervisory and Staff ManagementLead, train, and supervise shop staff and installation technicians, conduct performance evaluations and provide mentorship.Schedule employees, resolve staffing conflicts, and address disciplinary issues when necessary.Foster a positive work environment, encouraging teamwork and professional growth.Customer ServiceWork closely with customers to understand needs, provide product selection guidance, and ensure order accuracy.Respond to inquiries and resolve issues related to emergency vehicle builds.Train customers in vehicle operations and maintain long-term client relationships.Technical ExpertiseInterpret wiring schematics, manufacturer manuals, and installation instructions.Install, troubleshoot, and repair automotive and emergency equipment on vehicles, including electrical systems (12V and 24V), genset systems, and securing components.Stay updated on industry trends and provide informed recommendations.Perform quality control checks to ensure compliance with safety and product standards.Qualifications:High school diploma or GED Certificate requiredMinimum of 5 years in supervisory roles within automotive or emergency vehicle industries.Strong knowledge of 12V systems, electrical troubleshooting, and maintenance.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and shop management tools.Ability to route, splice, and solder wiring/cabling.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.Customer service-oriented with a focus on quality and satisfaction.Valid Driver's License required.Certifications Requested:ASE (A6 Electrical Systems), Whelen Master Technician, EVT, MECP, OSHA Safety, and Forklift Safety preferred.Please note: We are only considering local candidates at this time.***3rd-party agencies: if you have a suitable candidate, you may email the profile, but please do not call regarding this posting.***
