This position plays a critical role in ensuring product quality and production efficiency through system bring-up, test execution, troubleshooting, and hardware repair.Working at the intersection of Production, Test Engineering, and Operations, this role ensures smooth test flow, rapid issue identification, and effective escalation. This is an execution-focused role with strong emphasis on troubleshooting and operational stability rather than test design.Key ResponsibilitiesSystem Test ExecutionPerform system setup, bring-up, and configuration in test environmentsExecute predefined test scripts and validation proceduresPerform BIOS and firmware updates and verify system functionalityFailure Analysis & RepairAnalyze system error codes, logs, and test resultsPerform L1/L2 troubleshooting using standard diagnostic methods (swap, isolate, verify)Execute hardware repairs and FRU-level component replacementsValidate system functionality after repairIssue Management & EscalationIdentify issues impacting test yield, throughput, or qualityEscalate complex technical issues to engineering teams as neededCommunicate risks, blockers, and status updates to team leads and cross-functional partnersOperational Support & Continuous ImprovementSupport production goals related to quality, throughput, and deliveryParticipate in 5S and continuous improvement initiativesProvide feedback on recurring failures and process improvementsRequired QualificationsHands-on troubleshooting experience with system hardwareFamiliarity with BIOS/firmware updates and system configurationBasic knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systemsAbility to interpret logs, error codes, and test resultsUnderstanding of manufacturing test processes and workflowsPreferred QualificationsExperience with server or data center hardwareBasic networking knowledge (IP configuration, connectivity testing)Familiarity with automated test stations or manufacturing environmentsExperience in high-volume production settingsCompTIA A+ or Network+ certificationEducation & ExperienceAssociate degree in IT, Electronics, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)2–4 years of experience in hardware support, manufacturing test, or technical operationsPrior experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferredWhat Success Looks Like (First 6 Months)Independently performs system setup and test executionEfficiently troubleshoots and isolates hardware issuesMeets production targets for quality and throughputEscalates issues effectively and communicates clearlyContributes to reduction of repeat failures through accurate diagnosticsActively supports 5S and continuous improvement effortsWhy This Role MattersThis role is critical to ensuring production stability and product quality.
