The position may assume additional duties as assigned. The successful incumbent will be detail oriented, able to follow instructions well, and work well in a team atmosphere.Education / Experience / Certifications:High school diploma or GED preferred but not requiredPrevious shake experience preferred but not requiredActivities / Tasks:Assists in set-up of brakeAssists brake operator with the forming operationPlace correct labels on parts and sorts to correct JIT kitAssists in inspection of partsSafely and effectively use tools such as hand tools, measuring tape, and machine equipmentSkills and Abilities:Ability to interpret, sort paper work, and engineering drawings correctly preferred, but not requiredAbility to plan work and select proper toolsAbility to compare and accurately determine difference in size, shape, and form of objectsAbility to apply shop mathematics to solve problemsAbility to correctly and safety use hand tools (both manual and pneumatic)Ability to read a tape measure in metric and imperial standardsAbility to read effectively from a paper copyAbility to work within precise limits and/or standards of accuracyAbility to multi-taskAbility to work well with othersAbility to work in a fast paced environmentAbility to communicate effectivelyAbility to follow and understand directionsPhysical Demands:The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
